How to get the most out of your scented candle

Before lighting it for the first time:

First, remove the dust cover from the candle.

Only burn the candle on a flat, fireproof surface and under supervision. Keep it away from flammable objects, children, and pets.

First lighting:

Make sure that the candle burns until the entire surface of the wax is liquid the first time you light it. This will prevent a “tunnel” from forming and ensure that the candle burns evenly. Depending on the size of the candle, this can take 2-3 hours.

Subsequent Lighting:

Each time you light the candle, make sure you do not leave it burning for longer than 4 hours. Otherwise, the total burning time of your candle may be reduced and smoke may develop.

After the candle has burned down:

Once the candle has burned down completely, you can remove the residual wax, candle wick and wick holder. Afterwards you can reuse the vessel. It is ideal for other purposes as it is dishwasher-safe and food-safe.

Removing residual Wax:

To remove the remaining wax, place the container in the oven at approximately 80 degrees Celsius for about 10 minutes. Afterwards, the soft wax can be easily wiped out of the container with paper towels.

Cleaning the vessel:

After removing the wax, you can clean the container in the dishwasher to make it perfectly clean for its next use. Before using it for food or drink, make sure that no scent from the essential oil remains - it is possible that multiple dishwasher cycles are necessary for this.
